Dolores Gahan is a retired physician who received her medical degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Robert Wood Johnson Rehabilitation Institute. Dr. Gahan has been a member of the Board of Directors for UNICEF USA since 2004, currently serving as Co-Chairman of the National Board. With UNICEF, Dr. Gahan has traveled to the field including Ghana, Tanzania, Senegal, Kenya, Rwanda, Morocco, Brazil, Guatemala, Peru, Israel, Jordan and Bangladesh. It is the frequent visits to the field she feels are necessary to keep her on point with the programmatic side of UNICEF. She is passionate about the equality and well being of children around the world. Her charitable affiliations include Northwell Healthcare Systems and the Boomer Esiason Foundation. Dr. Gahan raised a family of 5 daughters in Manhasset, NY and presently resides in Vero Beach, Florida with her husband.
